Apple Launches its Multi-Touch Repair Program for iPhone 6 Plus

This has been brought to light that Apple have now determined that over a handful of iPhone 6 Plus mobile devices have begun showing signs of display flickering or various multi-touch issues in the event that they’ve been dropped on a hard surface which tend to incur potential stress or damage on the device.

With that in mind, if you’re a proud owner of an iPhone 6 Plus device and are experiencing similar issues, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will take up the task of repairing your device for a service price of INR 9,900. However, the price quoted by an Authorized Service Provider could vary. Remember that your iPhone 6 Plus device should be in working order and the screen shouldn’t be cracked or worse, broken.

It should also be noted that Apple will attempt to contact customers who have paid for a service repair related to this issue either through Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to arrange reimbursement. However, if you have not been contacted but paid for a repair that seemed similar in nature to that of what’s been mentioned above, it’s recommended that you do contact Apple. Apple also claims that the reimbursement amount will equate the difference between how much you’ve paid for the repairs and the quoted service amount.

How it Works

Simply take your iPhone 6 Plus device to Apple or an Authorized Service Provider. Your device will be examined prior to any service so as to verify whether it is eligible for the program and in working order. Note that this program only applies to users of an iPhone 6 Plus. Other devices are NOT eligible.

If you’re are an iPhone 6 Plus user and are experiencing issues similar, be sure to back up all your data so as to not lose out anything during the service.

Disclaimer

Apple has already placed a few terms for eligibility of this program. Repairs will be limited to country of purchase. If you’ve purchased your iPhone 6 Plus from some place abroad then you’re out of luck. This program also covers affected iPhone 6 Plus devices for 5 years after the first retail sale of the unit.
