Apple’s Keynote Event – All that was Announced

As the first of Apple’s keynote event to take place in Steve Jobs Theater at the new Apple Park, there were a lot of exciting announcements. Yes, we are still drooling over the iPhone X but there is more!

Steve Jobs Theater itself is a stunning piece of architecture. The keynote kicked off with a tribute to the founder before unfolding to us the most incredible lineup of products that are to be released in the coming days.

Apple Watch Series 3

The new Apple Watch Series 3 was announced at Apple’s keynote event and can now make calls and send messages due to the cellular capabilities packed in it. So you would not have to carry your iPhone everywhere. Streaming music directly to your Watch also would be made easier than ever before. The heart rate app in the swim proof watch has been revamped as well so that the heart rate is directly displayed on the watch face. With smart activity coaching and the improvements provided on the workout app this would be an ideal fitness companion. Another intuitive feature added is the ability to notify the user of an elevated heart rate if observed during a period of inactivity.

Apple TV 4K

Apple TV is one product that has not seen many upgrades in the recent years. Apple TV 4K was announced at Apple’s keynote event and comes with a higher pixel density, and 4K HDR video support for unmatched movie watching experience. 4K and HDR content would be available in iTunes soon. One other notable feature is the addition of a dedicate sports tab.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

We’ve been speculating about this in the past. These come as sleek upgrades to the iPhone 7. With durable glass panels on the front and back there is an aluminum band in between. The glass panel also facilitates wireless charging. At the first glance these look like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus and come in 4.7inch and 5.5inch display options. The enhanced viewing angles are achieved with the dual-domain pixels. The one feature worth mentioning here is the inclusion of the A11 Bionic chip which is said to be the fastest and the most powerful one. The faster CPU is also said to be backed up by a more efficient battery as well. This processor is what gives the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus superior AR experience. And the best part is that these iPhones would be coming packed with the long awaited iOS 11.

iPhone X

Ten years after the first ever iPhone was introduced we have a new trendsetter all set for release in November. This is going to be a special phone as it comes with a lot of new changes the most noticeable one being the lack of the home button. Getting back to home would take a simply swipe. So with no buttons it is all screen in the front with narrow bezels which look like they are barely there. It is not just a stunner in terms of the design. It comes with a 5.8inch Super Retina display, an OLED screen that can reproduce better color. The touch has been made more responsive. The hardware has been made so as to suit iOS 11 in every way. There is water and dust resistant glass perfectly complemented by the stainless steel band. Face ID allows unlocking the phone by just looking at it. Many other phones come with Face unlock capabilities- so what would the difference be? The iPhone X can now recognize your face even in the dark or with minor physical changes. Face ID takes authentication to an all new level. The accuracy of the sensor is backed up by the TrueDepth camera with advanced face mapping capacities that can capture the user’s face as 30,000 dots for absolute precision. So you can use the face authentication feature even for payments. One fun feature that has been included is the Animoji that can capture your expression to create an emoji that can be used while messaging. The camera looks different as the dual cameras at the back are placed vertically one over the other than side by side as with iPhone 7 plus. The cameras both are packed with image stabilization abilities and are said to be powerful enough to capture some stunning low light photographs. Much like the iPhone 8 the iPhone X would also be coming with A11 Bionic chip, preloaded iOS 11 and unrivaled AR capabilities.

AirPower

AirPower is the all new charging mat that is going to be introduced to help charge the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. The AirPower is a large charging platform that can allow simultaneous charging of more than one device. So once it is introduced you would be able to place your compatible AirPods, Apple Watch, iPhone, all at the same time for easier wireless charging.

Besides the above new product announcements Apple’s keynote event also confirmed the release of iOS 11 and watchOS 4 which are to be rolled out by the 19th of September.

With all the new products announced at Apple’s keynote event, we can’t wait to actually get our hands on them. We would have to wait to find out what the products really bring in store and how their performance would be!
